The two things everyone comes to Cusco for, done properly, in the time you actually have.
The trip
This is a private departure for one family or one group of friends, not a shared tour, and it exists for people who have four days and want both Machu Picchu and Vinicunca. Day one is deliberately gentle because Cusco sits at 3,400m: the historic centre on foot, then Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo and Tambomachay, and a lesson in Andean weaving. Day two crosses the Sacred Valley, Chinchero, the Maras salt pans, the circular terraces at Moray and Ollantaytambo, then the train down the Urubamba to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Day three is Machu Picchu itself on the officially assigned circuit, with a private bilingual guide, and the train back. Day four leaves at five in the morning for Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain at 5,000m, reached by private vehicle and then by motorcycle with a local driver. The operator is unusually careful about what it promises, and so are we.
Vinicunca sits at five thousand metres. The motorcycle takes you most of the way, and the operator will not pretend it takes you all of it.
Day by day
Prayer, dining, and where you rest, planned into each day, so you are never caught out.
DESTINATION
Private airport reception and transfer, then a rest through the middle of the day. In the afternoon, the historic centre on foot, Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo and Tambomachay, and a camelid and textile centre where the dyeing and weaving are explained.
DESTINATION
Timed to the official admission on your ticket: the shuttle bus up, then two to three hours inside the sanctuary with a private bilingual guide on the assigned circuit. The shuttle back, the train to Ollantaytambo, and a private transfer to Cusco.

DESTINATION
A five a.m. private pick-up and three and a half to four hours to the authorised community access point, then a motorcycle with a local driver and a helmet as far as the trail allows, and a short walk to the Vinicunca viewpoint at roughly 5,000m. Back to Cusco by around three, then the airport.

CONDITIONS
The things this price does not carry, said plainly, so there are no surprises when your quote arrives.
The from-price is per person, twin share, indicative. Your final quote is written for your dates, your party, and the rooms you need.
An enquiry starts a conversation with a specialist, not a checkout. Nothing is charged now, and you decide when to say yes.
Every halal fact on this page is dated and verified by us. Where something cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than imply it.
