The trip

The short Korea: Nami Island, a hanbok at the palace, the mosque at Itaewon and a fortress wall you can walk.

This is Korea in four nights without cutting anything that matters. From the airport you go straight to Nami Island and the Gangchon Rail Park rather than losing a day to check-in. The next morning is Gyeongbokgung Palace in a hanbok, which gets you in free and makes the photographs, followed by the Seoul Central Mosque at Itaewon, the Hongdae student quarter and a cruise on the Han. Day three is Namdaemun market, the cable car up N Seoul Tower and a Nanta performance, which is a comedy done entirely with kitchen knives and needs no Korean. Day four goes south to Suwon for the Hwaseong fortress wall, the vast Starfield library and the Korean Folk Village. Private van, private English-speaking guide, every ticket included, and a bottle of water a day.

Wear the hanbok to Gyeongbokgung. Entry is free if you do, and the palace was built to be seen that way.
